Cancellation & Refund Policy
This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs all payments made to SME Experts for consultancy, advisory, documentation, legal-compliance, digital, financial, or any professional services
By availing our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree with this Policy.
1. Nature of Services (Important Legal Clarification)
SME Experts provides professional consultancy & documentation-based services, not physical goods.
Accordingly: Many services involve government portals, third-party agencies, incubation centres, and external validations. Once work begins, significant intellectual and operational effort is invested. Therefore, refunds can only be allowed under specific, strict conditions.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1. Cancellation Before Work Begins
A cancellation request will be accepted only if: It is raised within 2 hours of payment AND SME Experts has not initiated any work, including documentation, calls, research, allocation, or portal setup.
2.2. Cancellation After Work Begins:
Once SME Experts has started work, including review, documentation, analysis, calls, preparation, drafting, or submission, no cancellation shall be permitted.
2.3. Cancellation Not Eligible For:
Cancellations cannot be accepted for: Government-related services (e.g., Startup India, GST, MSME, Certifications, Seed Fund, Schemes) Consultancy or advisory sessions Digital services (logo, website, ads, social media, branding, etc.) Document drafting or compliance-related tasks Services involving external agencies, investors, incubators, mentors, or statutory bodies These services involve time, effort, and resources from the moment of onboarding.
3. Refund Policy
Refunds are service-specific and not guaranteed unless SME Experts fails to deliver the service due to internal issues.
3.1. Refund Allowed Only If:- A refund may be provided only when all below conditions are met: Full payment was made to SME Experts; Documents/info were submitted correctly and on time by the client; SME Experts has not delivered any part of the service; The failure is solely due to internal inability (not external factors). Example: Internal operational constraints prevent delivery.
3.2. No Refund Will Be Provided If:- Refunds will NOT be provided in the following cases: Delay or failure caused by client-side issues, including: Wrong/insufficient/false documents Non-cooperation Delayed responses Incorrect information Missed deadlines Government portal issues, rejections, delays, or technical errors External agencies/investors/incubators rejecting an application Change of mind after service purchase Service already initiated or partially completed Digital services once draft/preview/sample is shared Consultancy hours already utilized Force majeure events (portal downtime, holidays, disasters, law changes)
3.3. Refund Timelines:- If a refund is approved (rare and exceptional cases): Processing time: 7–15 working days Refund mode: Same payment method or account (as feasible)
4. No Refund for Government/Compliance-Driven Services
For services dependent on government departments, incubators, financial institutions, statutory bodies, SME Experts cannot guarantee approval.
Hence, no refund is processed for:
Startup India Certificate, Seed Fund Assistance, Loans & Schemes (NHB, AHIDF, PMEGP, CGTMSE, etc.), GST/ISO/MSME registrations, Trademark, ROC filings, compliances, Pitch deck, business plan or financial projections, Marketing/digital deliverables,
SME Experts is responsible for documentation & guidance, not outcomes controlled by third parties.
5. Service Delivery Responsibility
SME Experts’ responsibility is limited to: Professional documentation, Guidance, Submissions (where applicable), Advising based on available information
We are not responsible for: Government or third-party decisions, Rejections based on your business model, documents, eligibility, portal rules, Resubmissions required due to client-side errors, External delays.
6. Dispute Resolution
All disputes related to cancellations and refunds will be handled internally first. If unresolved:
